Meet Molly
Hi, I’m Molly Laughter, a fiduciary financial advisor.
My work has always been about one thing: making complicated financial topics feel understandable and human. You don’t need to be good with numbers to build a secure, meaningful life.
That belief started early for me, in a personal finance class at my all-girls high school. That class lit a spark, showing me that financial wellbeing isn’t mysterious and out-of-reach and that women belong in financial conversations. Since then, I’ve spent the last two decades in financial planning firms expanding my education and experience so I can meet women exactly where they are, especially in moments of transition.
I am a CFA® charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst®), often referred to as the Ph.D. of the investment world, as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional. On top of that, I bring more than 15 years of experience in financial planning and investment management to this financial planning firm.
Though those designations are important, what matters most to me is how I show up for you. I want to help you navigate this new reality in a way that feels calm, clear, and nonjudgmental. Honestly, I want to show up for you the way I would want a professional to show up for my mom.
I listen first. Explain things in plain language. And stay with you for as long as you need. No unnecessary pressure or feeling of urgency. No talking over or down to you. I know that you are capable of handling your financial future, and we’ll tackle it together.
Frequently Asked Questions about Financial Planning
Is Laughter Financial a fiduciary?
Yes. That means every recommendation is made with your best interest in mind—always. There are no commissions for selling products or incentives to push you in a certain direction. You can trust that the advice you’re getting is focused on what’s right for you, your life, and your long-term security.
Who should work with a financial advisor?
Most people reach out during a moment of change. You might be navigating a divorce, the loss of a spouse, retirement, or simply stepping into managing your finances on your own for the first time. If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just want clarity about what comes next, that’s usually a good time to start the conversation.
What makes a financial planning firm different?
Not all firms offer the same level of support. A financial planning firm looks at your entire financial life, including how much you can spend, how your decisions impact your future, and how everything fits together over time. It’s a more personal, ongoing relationship designed to give you clarity, not just numbers.
What is it like to work with Laughter Financial?
From your first conversation with us, our focus is on listening and understanding what matters most to you. From there, we organize everything into a simple plan so you can clearly see where you stand and what comes next. We’re always here so you have someone you can reach out to, ask questions, and rely on as life evolves.
Navigate Your Way Forward
We believe women deserve better treatment than what they usually find in traditional financial planning firms.
