What To Expect with Laughter Financial

Clarity, One Step At a Time

At Laughter Financial, we help newly-single women facing life transitions with the financial planning process, wealth management, and ongoing support.

Our Financial Planning Process

We focus on clarity, not complexity.

Step 1

Intro Call: Let’s talk about you

Tell us your story, what keeps you up at night, and what your goals for the future are. This call is a safe place to breathe and figure out where to go from here.

Step 2

Get Organized: Find the pieces and sort them

We’ll gather things like account statements, documents, bills, and lists of what you own. Most people feel a landslide of relief in this step because the chaos turns into a clear list of tasks.

Step 3

Answer the big question: “Will I be okay?”

We’ll build a simple map that shows your income and spending. Following your goals, we’ll create a financial plan that ensures the answer to this question is always yes.

Step 4

Bring everything together: One place, one plan

If you want ongoing help, we consolidate accounts and coordinate with your attorney or CPA. If you prefer a one-time engagement, we give you a clear roadmap to follow.

Step 5

Ongoing connection: We’re here when you need us

In the first year we meet as often as needed. After that, we check in twice a year and are always a text or call away for questions or decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

A fiduciary financial advisor is required to put your best interests first when giving financial advice. That means your financial planning, investments, and recommendations will be based on what helps you most, not what generates commissions or sales.

A financial planning meeting helps you organize your finances and create a clear plan for the future. At Laughter Financial, your financial advisor will walk through your income, investments, spending, and goals so you can better understand where you stand and what steps come next.

Wealth management services combine investment management with ongoing financial planning and guidance. A wealth management firm like Laughter Financial helps you manage your money, plan for retirement, prepare for life changes, and make confident financial decisions over time.

Short answer: it depends. The initial organization and plan can happen in a few meetings. A life transition engagement is designed to wrap up in about six weeks. Ongoing planning relationships last at least a year so we can track changes and keep you steady. During your intro call we can sketch out a personal answer to this question based on your circumstances.

Both. We offer a flat fee financial planning service and separate investment management. If we manage your investments, financial planning is usually included.

Financial planning starts at $300 per month on a 12 month commitment. Investment management fees are a percentage of assets under management. The life transition package is a one-time fee for a six-week engagement. We talk specifics on the intro call so there are no surprises.

Bring whatever you have. Bank statements, investment statements, passwords, recent bills, or even a list of questions you want answered. If you do not have documents yet, no worries. We can help you pull things together with your permission.

Yes. We coordinate with estate attorneys, CPAs, and other trusted professionals so everyone is working from the same plan.

Yes. We make ourselves available in a way that fits real life. If it is an important decision, we will schedule time to talk so nothing is rushed.

That is okay. The life transition package is perfect for short-term needs. You can also choose the flat fee planning for one year and then decide whether to continue.

We typically work with women who have investable assets in the mid-six figures and above. If you are unsure whether your situation is a good fit, schedule a call and we’ll go over specifics.
